      A NORGLIDE® Metal Backed Bearing – the compound tape and metal bearing - combines metal and tape to provide noise and vibration damping properties in a light-weight construction.

      NORGLIDE Metal Backed Bearing – Modular Concept – Metal Bearing

      NORGLIDE® Metal Backed Bearings stand for a plain, efficient way in combining PTFE and metal for a multifunctional bearing. NORGLIDE® Metal Backed Bearings comprise a simple arrangement of a metal shell for strength and a sliding layer for low friction performance.

       

       

      NORGLIDE® T – Steel Bearing - Flanged

      NORGLIDE® T – Steel Bearing

      The NORGLIDE® T is a composite material of compounded PTFE tape on a steel shell. The viscoelastic properties of the thick PTFE-layer dampen vibrations and avoid rattling noise. NORGLIDE® T Bearings provide excellent paintability through tailor-made conductivity.

      Plain Steel Bearings of more than 0.75 mm thickness can be produced with an interference fit in the housing.  Various methods are available to protect the steel shell from corrosion.

      The NORGLIDE® HPT type is the combination of compounded PEEK tape on a steel backing which offers premium wear resistance and excellent high temperature resistance in lubricated applications.

      NORGLIDE® PRO – High Load Bearing – Cylindrical Bushing

      NORGLIDE® PRO – High Load Bearing

      NORGLIDE® PRO is a steel material with a polygon-structured bronze layer on one side. Encapsulated in the polygon structure is a sliding layer of compounded PTFE tape. This design provides much higher load-carrying capabilities.
       
      The material is capable for sizing and can be adapted to any clearance required for the specific application. The whole range of NORGLIDE® PRO thicknesses can be designed with a press fit in the housing.

      The NORGLIDE® HPPRO type has the same backing structure as standard PRO, but with the premium wear resistance of the compounded PEEK layer.

      NORGLIDE® TALC – Corrosion Resistant Bearing

      For plain bearings that remain corrosion resistant in the harshest environmental conditions. With higher load capabilities compared to aluminium backed bushings. NORGLIDE® TALC solutions comprise an aluminium-clad steel backing layer.

      The corrosion resistance of the aluminium-clad NORGLIDE® solution means an impressive 1,000 + hours of salt-spray exposure with no red rust.

      NORGLIDE® TAL – Aluminum Bearing

      The composite bearing material consists of aluminum backing combined with a low friction PTFE-compound tape. The result is a light-weight material with sizing capabilities and the material is predominantly used in the bicycle industry.

      Bearings of more than 0.75 mm backing thickness can be produced with an interference fit in the housing.

      NORGLIDE® TALS – Structured Aluminum Bearing

      A structured aluminium backing with a polymer sliding layer.

      NORGLIDE® TALS can be flanged and formed in a wider variety of shapes whilst keeping its lightweight and sizing capabilities.

      NORGLIDE® TSS - Stainless Steel Bearing

      NORGLIDE® TSS provides excellent corrosion resistance in harsh chemical environments. The stainless-steel backing is combined with a compound layer. The stainless-steel bearing is mainly used in pumps and valves for the Industrial Market.

      NORGLIDE® TTL – Thin-Liner Steel Bearing

      The NORGLIDE® TTL Bearing is a NORGLIDE® T Bearing with a reduced sliding layer thickness. Used in solenoid applications the thin sliding layer provides smallest non-magnetic gaps and the ferro-magnetic backing helps to optimize the magnetic field.

      Constructed by bonding a soft polymer layer to spring steel and designed with spring elements like waves, ribs or fingers. The dampening, misalignment and tolerance compensation properties of the SPRINGLIDE™ Bearings are unique.

      NORGLIDE® TALTL – Structured Aluminum Thin-Liner Bearing

      Excellent form stability and good sizing capabilities.

      NORGLIDE® TALTL gives premium corrosion resistance because it does not contain iron or bronze. NORGLIDE® TALTL has a tremendous shape stability in assembled condition. Nearly no gap, no overlapped material edges and rounded cylindrical end for easy feed into the housing.

      Compound & Metal Backing

      A wide range of compound layers are available tailored to the needs of countless applications. Special compounds are available on request. Fabricated metal bearing parts include rolled bearings with or without an axial flange, deep-drawn bearings and die-cuts. The metal backing is available in steel (T, TTL, H), aluminum (TAL, TALS), spring steel (TRS), aluminium cladded steel (TALC) or stainless (TSS) for use in chemically harsh environments.
