Self lubricated bearings
from Saint-Gobain are composed of light-weight, high-strength,
fatigue-resistant composites. These attributes contribute
to performance characteristics that make our products
an ideal choice for new and replacement self-lubricated
bearings in a variety of applications.
NORGLIDE® self lubricated bearings reduce maintenance
and lower friction because of their unique design characteristics.
They are custom manufactured with a flexible bearing tape
or with a metallic backing and they utilize a wear resistant PTFE with appropriate fillers to give the material the
specific properties the self lubricated bearing requires.
Properties which can alter its strength and coefficient
of friction and allows it to be used in many different
applications.

NORGLIDE® Self-Lubricated Bearings
NORGLIDEŽ
self-lubricated bearings are made from a
composite material of compounded PTFE tape on an
aluminum substrate. This combination is ideal
to match with cast magnesium or aluminum housings.
The PTFE layer is sizable and compressible and can
help reduce inside diameter tolerances. This
combination provides extreme light weight bearings
with a low coefficient of friction, to minimize
"stick slip" and provide optimal feel.
